- The beach is south-east facing (much to the delight of windsurfers on days when the wind blows from the east).
- There is disabled access.
- The beach is near the town centre and shops.
- To get there, it is possible to park along the road (authorised paid parking places from April to October).
- Various car parks nearby, both free and paying.
